Primary Care:
For those interested in becoming a new patient and changing their primary care to us
we can provide medical care to ages 10-30. Patients may transfer their primary care
here when they become too old to be seen by their pediatrician. Teens and young adults
may decide that they want to be seen at our office exclusively for teens and young
adults to work with specialists in the care of adolescents and young adults in an
environment more comfortable for older youth and young adults.
We provide comprehensive medical, social and psychological screening and care with every
annual physical examination, health concern or consultation visit. Longer appointment
times than traditionally provided at other offices allow for thorough medical and mental
health care recognizing that both are components of health and illness.
Complete physical examinations are provided annually for all primary care patients.
Exams are available for school, sports, college, vocation, work permits, pre-operative
and other needs. Generally routine physicals are scheduled in advance, but if a situation
arises requiring a sooner appointment, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate.
Ill visits and visits for other health care concerns are scheduled in a timely fashion
according to the level of urgency with most sick visits scheduled within 24 hours.
Because Dr. Alberts is independent, you will always be able to see him rather than
dealing with different providers for your care allowing more continuity. Rather than
seeing a nurse and then waiting in a room, the entire appointment time will be spent
face to face with Dr. Alberts.

Consultation:
Because we are credentialed with insurance to provide both primary care and specialist
care, we are able to see adolescents and young adults even if they don’t obtain their
primary care here. Clients may be self-referred to us or be referred by their primary
care providers, counselors, schools, chemical dependency treatment facilities, community
organizations, court and other resources. First time visits for consultations are 60
minutes long, while follow up visits may be 20-60 minutes as needed.
Most individual, couples and family counseling is provided by our psychotherapist Kitty
Wolfsong. Dr. Alberts is able to provide consultation assessments for medical and mental
health concerns during which comprehensive physical, social and psychological screening
is provided as the concerns warrant leading to treatment options. Complete consultation
assessments may involve up to three visits depending on complexity and will lead to
diagnoses and treatment options including medical, therapy, psychiatric, community
referral and other modalities.
Dr. Alberts provides assessments and manages psychiatric medications for many conditions.
Both Dr. Alberts and Kitty Wolfsong treat a wide range of common and unique conditions.

Mental Health:
Both Kitty Wolfsong and Dr. Alberts provide mental health care. You can obtain
counseling with or without obtaining your primary health care here. Kitty Wolfsong
provides the majority of psychotherapy counseling for individuals, couples and families.
Ms. Wolfsong is also able to see clients outside of the adolescent and young adult
population age range. Dr. Alberts provides counseling for specific needs and along
with consultation and health care visits.
Stage-Based Behavioral Counseling is provided to help prevent pregnancy, substance use,
sexually transmitted illness and other high risk behaviors. Cognitive Behavior Therapy
is utilized for general counseling.
When clients have been referred to us for mental health assessment for medication treatment,
they will be scheduled for a consultation with Dr. Alberts. If during the course of therapy
with Kitty Wolfsong the need for medication or other assessments arises, she may refer the
client to Dr. Alberts.
